Merry Solstice Greetings!

“Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius.” — Pietro Aretino

Merry Solstice and Happy Holidays!

As many of you know, my family celebrates the Winter Solstice, along with Summer Solstice and Spring and Fall Equinox. This is a season to rest, restore, sleep, eat, and gather inside while the dark and cold rules the our part of the earth. A time to remember that summer will come again!

Local Business Feature: I’m thrilled to share Anita Dilles’ business! An experienced, Portland based, woman owned Arborist! She runs a referral based business, just like mine, call or email Anita today to get on her 2026 schedule.

Anita in action!

This is the last monthly clean up, I’m shifting to a Quarterly Clean Up! So save the date for Sunday March 29th, the last day of PPS Spring Break!

But first, this month we will meet on Sunday December 28th, 9-10am, at the empty lot at NE Fremont and 57th Ave.

I’ll be there, rain or shine! I will provide gloves, buckets, bags, safety vests, a truck, and, of course, coffee and donuts to keep everyone energized. We’ll work together to tidy up our streets, parks, and shared spaces—making a difference in no time!

Portland Real Estate Market Update

The national real estate news isn’t very cheery, but we who live in Portland know that it’s always actually been a lot nicer, friendlier, and don’t forget a better real estate market, here in Portland. Inner NE Portland is still a very solid Seller’s Market.
In Cully, Roseway, Beaumont, and Rose City Park home sales continue to outstrip supply and the Market Action Index has been moving higher for several weeks. This is a Seller’s market so watch for upward pricing pressure in the near future if the trend continues. Notice the huge spread in highest to lowest list prices in these NE Portland zip codes.

Beaumont, Rose City Park, Roseway, south Cully

Irvington, south Sabin, Grant Park, Wilshire, Beaumont

Irvington, Grant Park, Wilshire/Beaumont are doing even better than the 97213 zip code.
